Synopsis: Ridge of a High Pressure Area (HPA) affecting Luzon.

An approaching SURFACE TROUGH over the Souther part of the Philippine Sea will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered light, moderate, or heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across MINDANAO and EASTERN VISAYAS.

Location: at 4:00 AM today, 840 km West Northwest of Extreme Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR)

Maximum wind/gustiness: 65/110 km/h

Forecast movement: N 20 km/h


Forecast: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstoms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest to South will prevail over the western section of Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southeast to south with slight to moderate seas.
