Synopsis: Frontal system affecting Northern Luzon.
The STATIONARY MEI-YU FRONT is affecting EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON bringing partly to mostly cloudy periods with light to at times moderate rains and thunderstorms over the area.
The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have some cloud cover and the possibility of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or late evening hours.
NO ACTIVE TROPICAL CYCLONE
Tropical Cyclone Formation over the Western Pacific Ocean, the Philippine Sea, and the South China Sea is not expected through Sunday, May 21, 2017.
Forecast: Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thundestorms will be experienced over the regions of Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Central Luzon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of country.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the East to Southeast will prevail over Mindanao and coming from the South to Southeast over the rest of country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
